2019 MISSION / PURPOSES (Amended & Broadened)
“FIRST: The name of the corporation is The Light Millennium, Inc. – A Charitable Global Human Advancement Organization (the “Organization”)”
Paragraph SIXTH of the Certificate of Incorporation regarding the purposes of the Corporation is hereby amended and restated in its entirety as follows:
“SIXTH: The purposes of the Organization are as follows:
1. To promote the free expression of ideas through the Organization’s multi-media platforms and to advance public access to community media in all countries.
2. To promote the culture of peace, harmony and synergy among all nations through the Organization’s multi-media platforms and organized events by advocating for government accountability and transparency.
3. To promote girls-women’s and children’s rights by advocating for gender equality, quality education for all and access toschools, libraries, museums and any other educational or learning center.
4. To form, operate and provide secular educational opportunities for underprivileged children and youth, by enabling access to, including, but not limited to, schools, libraries, museums and any other public or private spaces throughout the world including any location where there is agreement and cooperation from the relevant governmental authorities to achieve such objectives.
5. To support and raise the funding necessary for the creation of the library and museum centered on Turkish culture in the United States.
6. To support scientific ideas, technological experiments, and ideas related to the cosmos through the Organization’s multi-media platforms, organized events, and/or through collaboration and partnerships.
7. To promote clean-renewable energy and other environmental programs and initiatives through the Organization’s multi-media platforms, organized events and/or through collaborations and partnerships.
8. To promote global awareness, encouragement and collaboration towards the design, development and implementation of a recycling program for any and all forms of commercial and consumer electronics by forming partnerships with local municipalities, cities, states, nations and/or other constituents from the private sector.
9. To promote the development and implementation of alternative and innovative means of affordable and accessible public transportation.
10) To support the formation of the United Nations Non-Governmental Organizations General Assembly (“UNNGOGA”) by collaborating with various associated/affiliated non-governmental organizations recognized by the United Nations.
11) To launch a global online membership campaign to encourage active involvement, participation and support for the Organization’s initiatives, activities and programs.
12) To embrace all ideas, belief systems, cultural and ethical values and traditions, by acting and operating as a secular, non-religious based entity.
13) To promote and support the United Nations’ Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly regarding “human development” and “environmental protection-sustainability”.
The above purposes shall be construed as both objects and powers, and the enumeration of specific purposes shall not be held to limit or restrict in any manner the powers of this Organization. Nothing herein shall authorize the Organization to (a) operate, maintain or manage a charter school, a nursery school, a kindergarten, an elementary school, a secondary school, a college, university or to advertise or offer credit-bearing courses or degrees in New York State or (b) operate or maintain a library, museum, archive or historical society or to own or hold collections in New York State, in the case of both clause (a) and (b), without prior approval from the appropriate state agency.”

(Initial) MISSION / PURPOSES OF THE LIGHT MILLENNIUM (LM)
[2001] The purposes of The Light Millennium are listed below:
a) To provide an international platform for the free expression of ideas and experiences in order to foster a global connection among all people;
b) To engender harmony and synergy among the nations of the world, including but not limited to synergy between Turkey and Greece;
c) To promote social welfare for the people of Turkey, Greece and the United States;
d) To conduct research, compile and publish information concerning art, literature, and ideas, including, but not limited to, ideas about the future;
e) To provide a medium for the exchange of ideas for the purposes of facilitating transmission exchange and communication of information;
f) To promote the theory and practice of the principles of good government and good citizenship;
g) To unite individuals in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding;
h) To provide a forum for the full and free discussion of all matters of public interest, partisan politics and sectarian religion alone excepted;
i) To do all lawful acts and things which may be necessary, useful or proper for the furtherance or accomplishment of the purposes of this Corporation; and
j) The above purposes shall be construed as both objects and powers, and the enumeration of specific purposes shall not be held to limit or restrict in any manner the powers of this Corporation.
