Closing Remarks by Jay BOHRA: How artificial intelligence impacts today’s society!!!
BACKGROUND:
[LMGlobal.Org] The Light Millennium Global successfully presented a virtual panel on Artificial Intelligence (AI), titled, “How Artificial Intelligence Impacts Today’s Society“, which is rapidly transforming our world, impacting everything from everyday life to everything we do, communicate, and education to transportation and communication, and from babies, and children to those over 80-90 years old, which impacts directly and indirectly throughout cross-sections of all generations. While AI offers immense potential for positive change, it’s crucial to acknowledge and address potential risks.
This international virtual panel has consisted of representatives from experts in the field including academicians, researchers, the private sector, and youth who brought out to the surface both the benefits and risks of AI’s impact in today’s world and toward shaping a safeguarded and inspiring future.
In this line, the organization achieved its initial goal by contributing towards the #UNGA79’s dedication theme, Summit of the Future #SOTF, along with closing the mega gap in #DigitalLiteracy.

AI is like a double edged sword…
Society… so far belongs to the mighty (not to the ‘All Mighty’, but to the creature called Human). Yes! Whatever is created or crafted so far, has been the result of the ‘mind game’ or the ‘heart game’ of this finest breed of homosepians. The way we live, think, communicate, travel, earn, consume, struggle, or survive… is the way our societies are functioning. All these actions are until now performed/executed/pushed by either self, family, friends, relatives, influencers, government, institutions, businesses, etc. with the thoughts, ideologies, emotions, intentions, and scripts belonging to humans only.
Now with the AI revolution (still in its infancy) these traits are to be replaced by a device called computer. AI is reshaping the very fabric of our existence. Human civilization is taking a giant leap with this, where it is shifting controls out of its hands. Has any mind been stricken with the question …Why?
No! Except for some apprehensions, all others have fancy considerations about it. The debates on whether AI should be there or not – are simply confined to upholding one’s own side or viewpoint and not the whole aspect of this civilization.
AI is like a double edged sword…
All the so called positives of it, starting from – Immensely creative outputs, Predictions, Deeper & multi directional analysis, Handling of highly complex logics, to Executing the tasks which are seemingly impossible with the human brain capacity are going to cause unimaginary impacts over humanity.
You and I are living our lives… have you ever thought what is the baseline for this living? It is being engaged, required, involved, important, needed, depending on, or having dependents. Now what if all of a sudden no such attachment is there, yes! AI will take care of things, decisions will be taken by AI be it designing, development, deployment, destructions, judgments, debates, treatments… you are not required.
It may sound crazy if I propose that we need to have a code of conduct or some SOP on what to develop and up to what extent!
Yes it’s high time now that we realize the destruction done by our hustle for developments.
As you can find I oppose every technology ever developed. Yes! First, we developed something for our needs, comfort or to do some remedy and now we are developing many things to counter the side effects, repercussions, or negative impacts of that technology.
Everything developed till now was an act of human intelligence. So it was controllable up to a certain extent. Now when things start developing with this artificial intelligence, god knows how it will be controlled or navigated or will it be controllable at all?
I know that the never-ending desire or greed of mankind won’t be giving any thought to this burning concern. Still, my statement would be – it is high time when we build a strong narrative about discontinuing the AI moment in this direction, or else as time passes by it will go beyond our control, it will be unstoppable, it will be unthinkable.
