[LMGlobal.Org] The 2023 J.U.C. Awards, held bi-annually, recognize the achievements of international high school students from various countries in three main categories, namely, writing, media, and research. The international call for submissions received applications from Cameroon, Chad, India, Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and Turkiye. High schools that supported participation included Darüşşafaka Society “Equal Opportunity in Education since 1863” in Istanbul, Whyteleafe Performing Arts Academy in Kohuwala, and St. Paul’s Modern School in Bokara Thermal, India. The LMGlobal.Org collaborated with civil society organizations in India, Nepal, Cameroon, and Chad to reach a diverse audience. The 2023 J.U.C. Awards aimed to reach both US-based and international high schools, but no US entries were received, resulting in a pool of applicants whose native languages are not English. In other terms, all submissions came in as English Second Language (ESL). The Media Category received the least number of submissions.
The winners of the 2023 J.U.C. Media, Research, and Writing Awards with the addition of two special categories dedicated this year too (1) the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye and (2) the United Nation’s Water Action Decade (2018-2028) (#UNGA Resolution #71/222) were proudly presented: “In Loving Memory of John Unver Culkin”. The 2023 J.U.C. Awards concept is: “Hope Never Fades“
