Writing/General –  If you became the President of the World, what three things would you change first, and how would you design to make the world a better place that you imagine leaving to your children and grandchildren?

Disrespectful elders, ungrateful children, and uneducated teenagers are what we can see in today’s society worldwide. Sometimes it makes me think whether this was the present that our ancestors wanted us to have in the past. I’m pretty sure they never expected us to have this dark present without any ray of hope for living. The first reason I address the world as a dark place is because of the youth around the globe. Let me ask you a simple question, what is the purpose of education? It is to give a child the correct instructions to lead a successful and fulfilling life, basically to learn the soft skills that we need when we are out in society, but what do we learn in our schools? It is everything except basic soft skills. For example, if we take a situation where a team has to achieve a certain goal before the given deadline, and none of them does take responsibility to lead the group, and when the deadline comes near all of them would run around like headless chickens unable to complete the assigned work. Why? It is because nobody took the step to lead the group. If somebody did take an action, then they would have completed the given task. This is just a simple example in our day-to-day life where people do not use soft skills, but if someone gave them the knowledge on how to use these soft skills then they could have used those skills. So, from my point of view, I think that all these skills should be a part of the school children’s syllabus.

So, if I become the president of the world the first thing that I going to change is the school syllabus. I would add subjects like leadership skills, organizational skills, and many other types of soft skills. I would also reduce the amount of time that a child spends on learning because a child should not work like a robot whose system is damaged. A child should still look like a human even after surviving one day at school. I would start school at 8.00 a.m. and I would finish school at 1.00 p.m. because I have experienced what it feels like to come home from school looking like a zombie, extremely tired. So, I don’t any kid to feel like that in the future. I have also heard that most of the children go for tuition classes because their school doesn’t teach the properly. For that problem, I would assign people to look after the teacher’s behavior as well. So, because of this stepchildren wouldn’t have to go to extra classes which gives them more free time, but that doesn’t mean that they can use their mobiles use to spend their free time.

Speaking of mobiles, these days there has been so many youths getting addicted to their mobiles and even the parents do not know what their child is doing. Which I think is very wrong because their child can be doing anything at all. An example, cyberbullying. Another person’s life can be damaged or even worse. I have seen people getting hurt because of another person’s carelessness, but that should not happen. Why? The answer is simple, it is because we all are young people around the world, and we all happen a future. From what I think it is that it is you who should create and add colors to your life, not somebody else. So, all I want to say is that DO NOT BULLY ANYONE because it can cause so many problems for you and that person. The parent also must know what their child doing on their mobile phones but, that doesn’t mean that the parents should linger around the child the whole time. They should give them freedom and at the same time the parents should know what their child is doing. So, if I become the president of the world the second thing that I would change is the age and time limit to use mobile phones. I would make sure that all parents would give their child a phone after they turn 16 but that too for a certain time limit and it will continue till the age of 18. A child should only their mobile phones only for 1.30 hours a day. I know the pain when your mother grabs the phone without letting you speak a word but, you should also know the limitations of using a phone. Also, after when you turn 16 you will only get a tie of 2 hours a day.

Another problem that I see is the way people treat each other because of the difference in their income or other words we could say the difference between the higher class and low class. Whenever I hear this problem, I always want to punch that person in the face because just because you have a higher income doesn’t mean that you can insult the other person. I understand that people have different jobs and they earn differently but shouldn’t you be treating that person as if you both are at the same level? After all, do we all have human rights? It does hurt the person’s feelings and they may feel low. I see a lot of people say that we should stop this issue, but do they ever take a step toward it? So, if I ever become, the president of the world the third thing that I would do is I would take severe action against the people who disrespect other people because of their way of income. One thing that I would say to all of the people that we meet is that we all are human, and we have feelings we get hurt we fall and we rise together again.

After writing so much this made me realize that if we all could get together and change the educational system as I said earlier then all of the other problems would automatically vanish. It is one of my beliefs that somebody, it could be anyone, black or white, rich or poor it doesn’t matter, would come and change this world, for me the world is a dark place and there are only a few people with light in them. I just want all of those people to share their light with others who had given up, I want all of us to gather in unity to overcome all of our problems together. I want us to love each other like family. I have personally experienced what it feels like to be lonely, without anybody and I know what it feels like to be without anybody to share your problems with. I want all of us to have each other’s backs. Be friends with everybody despite their nationality, race, color, their family background, I hope that nobody will ever face the feeling of loneliness. I know that I am going a bit out of track but I can’t help but know and do nothing about these issues. Because the world isn’t speaking about this type of sensitive problem. Even if they do talk about it, they do nothing at all. It’s sad I know but we should overcome these dark and dangerous problems. I hope we have a brighter future without these problems and hope for the best for the future.
