MADAME PRESIDENT

I remember looking at the poll results that were going to change my life entirely, I couldn’t even imagine myself accomplishing the things I’ve done last few years. My life completely changed when my grandmother told me that the World needed a person, a perspective like me, and told me to be whoever and whatever I want to be without hurting anyone. For the last decade, I lived as much as I can without hurting anyone and now I can be a role model for everyone and can change the world for the benefit of it.

My dog was leaning on me to make me hug her. But before I started hugging her my phone rang. It was my vice president who calls. As soon as I opened the phone Ariel was starting to shout as they were using their last words “We won Ezgi. We are the rulers of the World now!”. I was still in shock so I couldn’t make my mouth open. Ariel figured that I would be stunned so they were continuing with “You are the first female president of the World and I am the first gender-queer vice president. So what do you want to do next?” I’ve been thinking about this question my whole and I never thought that the first thing I want to do would be sleeping. I gently told him that I needed to sleep because I haven’t been sleeping properly for almost three months. I hugged my dog and carried her to the couch so she could sleep with me and closed my eyes as the president of the World.

The next day I woke up with my alarm buzzing and the first thing I was going to do appeared in my head. I was going to make the LGBTQ community a fact so no one would even need to debate on if they should have rights or not and if any region would try to object to it would send it to psychiatric. With having a gender-queer vice president, World really has evolved but there are still some people, who are trying to shame other people’s emotions and their gender-fluid.

I went to the office very fast to tell my crew what to do next and they surprised me with a big party. But I am not a party person so I kept it short and told my crew about my ideas. When I told the crew my ideas I could see the spark that was growing in Ariel’s eyes. Ariel has never been excepted in a team this much and I wanted to do the best for them and their community. But when I was thinking of this idea it popped into my head that, in many of the religions there are lots of discrimination and compulsion through others so I also decided that with the acceptance of the LGBTQ community I also would like to ban speaking about religion; especially in government, organizations and gatherings. There would still be churches, mosques, and synagogues but they would be rarer and the ones that closed as chapels would turn into libraries that contain information about all religions. There wouldn’t be lessons about religions and the schools that are dedicated to religion would be closed and instead of teaching about religion would teach about discrimination through society. Because of all the restrictions about religions, some people would feel limited but we also will give the confidence to them as, if they get any criticism about what they think and the way they dress for their religion there will be restricted laws that would defend them.

After I told my crew my ideas one of my co-workers suggested doing something about people in need too. Because there are also many of them she told us that we also need to accomplish some things about them too. When she suggested it I remembered an idea that I’ve written before about people in need. I looked in my bag to find the paper I wrote but I couldn’t find it so I tried to explain the idea to the crew briefly. I first started by explaining how we are gonna identify the people. We will try to get in contact with charities around the world as there is no such thing as a country in the World anymore we would have control of the money that government controls so I told them that there will be no raise in their salaries and we will give the money to charities. But with the money, we also will expect charities to determine the people, their status, and their needs. With the help of charities around the World, we would specify people in need faster. But it will not end in there we will also build places around World for homeless people, there won’t be anything specified to their gender and their status, just places for people who does not have any place to live. Also, people who apply for an unemployed salary will be given according to the place and the region they live in. And with this being held we can also find orphans and try to give them the best place that we can until we find them a real home and a nice family to live with. After my sentences ended they all shooked their head and agreed with me. Then I authorized Ariel to turn these two things into life and to tell me immediately whenever something goes wrong. Then I wanted to ask everyone one last question. I asked with a self-assured voice “Should we make the weapons disappear?”. The crew asked me what I had in mind and I told them that I do not want any weapon such as nuclear weapons and guns. So they asked me again about what type of self-defense object I would want to use and I told them that I just want to have electroshock weapons but just to defend ourselves, not to kill anyone. When someone needs to be punished the courts are there to judge people by what they’ve done, not soldiers. My crew has always adored the things I’ve done and I knew that if they had any problem with any of the things I’ve said, they would express their objections right away. So now I am standing here in front of you, my people, who selected me, to tell you what I am aiming to do by telling it as a story. I hope I can fulfill all of your expectations and would make your dream World come true, even you selected me or not. I hope all of you to have the best life at World, and from now on call myself officially the Madame President.
